About Our Church:Teaching the Faith of our Fathers. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:7-9. Teaching the Same Gospel, the Same Faith, the Same Moral and Spiritual Values, We Find Certainty in Uncertain Times.King of Grace Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS) headquartered in Mankato MN. Our synod is in fellowship with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). Our congregation has its historic roots in West and East Paint Creek Lutheran Churches near Waterville. Our worship facility is located at 101 2nd St. in Waukon. Our worship service is at 9:00 A.M. with Bible Class and Sunday School following at 10:15. Our congregation holds to the inerrancy of Scripture, the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His miracles, His death for sins, His physical resurrection and literal ascension to the right hand of the Father. Finding Certainty in Uncertain Times In the churches of our fellowship, we find the truth that establishes the hearts of our families in the certainty of Scriptural teaching. We find moral certainty and sound values at a time when much of society is floundering in uncertainty and unbelief. Our pastor is the Rev. Dr. J. Kincaid Smith. Pastor Smith is co-author of the book What’s Going on Among the Lutherans[1], a book that documents the radical changes that have overtaken main line church bodies.
